These days most music producers are seeking to produce hit songs, aiming to top the billboard chart. Know this one thing that, if you can dream it, you can have it. There is nothing wrong with aiming for the top spot, but when you aim, make sure you aim right.

Be Original!
You are unique and different. The earlier you understand this the better it is for you. Try to create something that no one has ever created, record your guitars differently in a unique way, carve out your own unique sound, all I am saying in essence is that you give the world something new to listen to. Dr Dre is Dr Dre, he has his sound and style and everyone can identify with him with his style. Now the world needs you, something fresh and sweet, So please don't disappoint us.
Develop a mindset to learn everyday. Be better today than you were yesterday.
Be Persistent
Rome wasn't built in a day, so all your musical and producing skills cannot develop overnight. Be determine to win, push yourself daily to become better at your craft. Sometimes you would record crap, but with a winning mindset and hard work that crap would eventually turn into a masterpiece.
Here are other quick tips for you:
1. Learn from the Pros: Watch how they produce, repeat it and when you are comfortable or knowledgeable enough change it and add your own flair. This way you understand both technical and creative side of production
No one knows it all. Be inspired by others and inspire others as well.
2. Invest Time: It takes time to produce a track, it takes time to practice, it takes time to learn how equalizers and compressors works, it takes time to read about producing. Everything takes time in life, but you want to make sure that you are investing your time wisely instead of wasting it. Don't be discourage!
3. Mindset: Develop a mindset to learn everyday. Be better today than you were yesterday.
4. Purpose: Don't give up on creating the source of people's happiness, which is your music. Have a purpose for every track you produce. Tell a story through your music. Make it a connectible source for people to find what they need in life at that moment.
5. Connect and engage with other producers and engineers on social media, youtube or on any other forum. No one knows it all. Be inspired by others and inspire others as well.
